Self-harm is something she does to her body when her mind and heart are hurting. She doesn’t seem to realize how precious her body is. She doesn’t seem to know that she is worthy of her own love. She doesn’t seem to understand yet that her body is powerful, and it is the very thing that can help her heal.

- 1 in 4 girls self-harm, though it’s thought that the statistics are actually higher.
- Women and girls are self-harming at twice the rate of men in North America and Europe. The numbers continue to increase, particularly among young girls.
