Winter/Spring “How to Ask for Money” series

Featured Adventurer: Angie Lake | Free + Virtual

At The Cairn Project, we use storytelling as a fundraising tool to help us close the gender gap. But asking others to support your fundraiser can be intimidating!

In a 3 part series, you will build your fundraising skills so that:

  • you feel confident in the value you’re providing others
  • you build practical, tactical fundraising strategies
  • you have ideas to get creative in fundraising for a mission you care about
POSTPONED – New dates coming soon!
Part 1: Fundraising Mindset

Fundraising starts with your own confidence. Work through mental blocks around asking for money, reframe fundraising as offering value, and get inspired to share your personal story.

Part 2: Fundraising Strategy

Get practical, tactical tips to launch and amplify your fundraiser effectively. Craft compelling asks, time your outreach, and keep up the enthusiasm throughout.

Part 3: Creative Fundraising:

Take your fundraiser to the next level with some wild ideas! Let’s workshop incentives, events, partnerships, and more. Your fundraiser can stand out and turn into a movement!

Trail Talks is our virtual learning series designed to help adventurous women turn outdoor adventure into action. Free and open to the public, though our sessions are focused on women’s communities.

Each 30 to 90-minute Trail Talk combines learning with collaborative workshopping. We’ll spend the first half of the virtual event gaining insights from leaders in outdoor storytelling, fundraising, and adventure strategy. Then, we’ll move into hands-on coworking and practical action — because the best learning happens when you apply it in real-time, with community support!

Whether you’re already planning an Adventure Fundraiser as a Trailblazer or are just curious about how your time outside and sharing your story can give back, you’re invited.
