Turn Your Next Adventure Into a Force for Good

Join a community of women turning human-powered adventures into storytelling and grassroots fundraisers that support outdoor scholarships.

Get Out. Give Back.

Your next trail run, backcountry ski, paddle, hike, or summit can do more than challenge you — it can change lives. We equip women with everything they need to turn their adventure passions into grassroots fundraisers that support outdoor scholarships for girls and women across the world.

Whether you’re planning a thru-hike or a weekend bike tour, you’ll learn to share your stories to help us close the gender gap. No matter your adventure or experience level, you can create an Adventure Fundraiser for a deeper purpose.

Read about our merger with The Summit Scholarship Foundation to form the Alliance for Gender Equity in Outdoor Adventure (GEA Alliance).

The Numbers Tell a Story

Since its founding in 2016, The Cairn Project community has:

  • 75+ Trailblazers
  • $300,000+ raised for outdoor scholarships
  • 15,000+ miles of adventure across trails, peaks, and waterways
  • 2,000+ donors and community supporters
  • 2 Fastest Known Times set through Adventure Fundraisers
  • 20+ U.S. states and adventures spanning multiple countries
  • Dozens of unique stories amplified through See Her Outside and Grit Lit

But here’s what matters more: Every dollar raised and every story shared chips away at the barriers keeping girls and women from experiencing the transformative power of the outdoors.

Everyday Adventurers. Extraordinary Impact.

Trailblazers are women who turn their passion for adventure into a force for good. These women are changemakers who believe in the power of getting outside and giving back.
